Tempest is a piano-based EP tied to a loose narrative, the details of which are best left to the listeners’ imagination. This project was conceived years ago, but only realised in 2021, over eight of the hottest days of British summer.

Tempest prominently features multiple pianos, my favourite of which is Felt Instruments’ Wolno – a freebie that I’ve worked to death. For those interested in microtonal tunings, 24 TET is used throughout. While it never really takes the spotlight in a perceptible way, I think it was integral in creating some of the interesting colours in the EP.
